 I have always liked to deal with the rather gloomy characters. But the reason why I wanted to try on the figure of a Harpyr in the context of my third Bookholm project was that I now wanted to deal more seriously and consciously with figural anatomys. Because since I had been rather vague about such details like anatomy, posture etc. in my earlier figures «Puk» and «Inazea Anazazi», it was now more than time to turn to this unpleasant topic. A Harpyr seemed to me to be a suitable test subject here. Furthermore, I was able to combine this project with an idea I had been thinking about for a long time anyway - the mixing of two and three dimensionality, i.e. a painted background and three-dimensional elements in the foreground together with a figure.
